Rivals?

Allegedly, Ringo has invited Paul every time he's formed an "All-Starr" line-up and Paul has declined every time. On 12 January 2012, BeatlesNews.com reported that the two still hang out. There was the big controversy over them performing at the Olympics together again...I think the conclusion is that Paul will be performing, but Ringo will not be with him. They performed together a few years ago in NY!

They're both about to release albums. Ringo's release date is in about two weeks on the 31st and Paul's release date is a week later, the 7th of February. (I think both are up for pre-orders already!) Are they friends or not? I can't imagine that they're rivals, but the close release dates seems like something someone might have made sure to avoid. Am I just being suspicious because everyone else seems to be or is this just not a big deal? It shouldn't be if it is, honestly! Everyone loves both of them and they're actually incomparable...I just think of it as a great way for us fanatics to start our year off! :D

I've heard from an unreliable source that when Ringo was supposedly sick during the 3-4 days that Paul was receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, getting his Musicares award, and his Grammy Award for Best Historical Album, it was just an excuse not to attend any showing that Paul was going to be in. I was really worried about Ringo, though! :-( So, either way, I'm glad to know that Ringo is okay. I got a notification that Ringo suddenly got better the day after the Grammy's. I was really hoping that Ringo was going to present Paul at least, and I was even aiming high that Ringo was going to play drums for Paul. Guess it did not happen! Stevie filled in to present Paul his Grammy award, so it's all fine :-D
