Ringo vs. Paul?

I will always love JPG&R unconditionally, but after Ringo's autograph outburst, I think we've all felt a bit cautious about him. I understand where he's coming from and don't necessarily have a problem with him or the situation...but it's uncomfortable. It's awkward for all of us fans, no matter which side of the debate we're on.

Dare I propose...isn't it a bit weird that Ringo played in Liverpool, which has openly had nothing but hate for him the past few years because he allegedly insulted the city, on Paul's birthday? Paul is greatly loved by Liverpool, but whether Ringo meant to insult Liverpool or not, the city hasn't been in love with Ringo for a while. I feel like his concert in Liverpool on Paul's birthday may have been a bit passive-aggressive and/or nasty. It wasn't some kind of tribute to Paul, was it?

Maybe that was his decision or maybe it wasn't. I'm glad to hear that the concert went well and that they embraced him. I'm relieved to hear that he apologized for the "misunderstanding" and/or put-down...but it's all just a bit weird to me. What does everyone think?

The reason this point has come up is that now, to add to the bizarreness of it all, I just saw that Ringo is about to go to Brazil...? Wasn't Paul just there a month or two ago? I'm so confused and conflicted...but we'll always love you no matter what, Ritchie! It's just a topic of discussion I thought I'd bring up. All the while, Paul was quoted as saying "Why would I want to do that?" when asked about a reunion with Ringo. That seemed a bit cold too, if you ask me! What's going on, man? I know they've played together at least twice in the past decade or so...did it not go well? :[

I can't believe Paul said that too "Why would I want to reunite with Ringo, he's better off on his own" or something like that. Shocking and sad! :(
